In my case, the audio and video were horribly out of sync, but at least I was able to get to the end of the game.

Go back in the game, make your kill, and the cutscene will launch and with any luck play all the way through. De-select everything except one processor (proc 0 is what i used).ĥ. Find Xcom2.exe, right click and choose Set affinity. Alt-tab out of game and launch task manager, go to details tab.Ĥ. Save game at final battle right before the "killing blow" that triggers the scene.ģ. I know a thing or two about such stuff, so I took a guess at a possible workaround.Īnyway I was able to get around it, though I cannot say for sure if it will work for anyone else.ġ. Then one time I noticed the audio from the cutscene continuing after the screen went black and I thought to myself: hmm, maybe a threading/sync/race condition. Tried a bunch of stuff fiddling with and downgrading graphics options to no avail. I didn't have a total system crash, but, like many others I had a crash to desktop. I had this same problem, Win10, 64bit, I7 4810mq, nvidia 870m.
